Super Pregnancy Smoothie - Montreal Doula

Smoothies are a great way to get in nutrition during pregnancy.

Here is a recipe for a yummy and super healthy smoothie:
Healthy Pregnancy Smoothie
1 handful of greens (swiss chard, kale, romaine lettuce, etc)
Organic fruit juice (I used Guava this time) - enough to cover just the bottom of the blender
Water (to almost cover the greens - you can experiment with this amount)
Sprinkle of bee pollen (optional)
Sprinkle of organic berries (optional)
1 tsp nut butter (optional)



For my smoothie I used a mixture of swiss chard and kale (both nutritional powerhouses). Swiss chard & kale are both high in vitamins K, A and C as well as magnesium, potassium, iron and calcium.
